Annunciation Catholic School
Annunciation is Clay County’s only Catholic school. Annunciation Catholic School is the “neighborhood school” of Sacred Heart in Fleming Island, St. Catherine’s in Orange Park, and St. Luke’s in Middleburg. Parishioners have the first option at registration time and receive in parish tuition rates. Annunciation was established in 1993 and educates children from Pre-Kindergarten (age 4) through 8th Grade. The campus is located on property adjacent to St. Luke’s Catholic Church and includes an administration building, a media center, and computer lab. The school is accredited and follows the standard curriculum of the Diocese of St. Augustine. All teachers are degreed and certified.
Annunciation offers a strong academic program in language arts, math, science, social studies, and religion. The children attend Mass weekly and actively participate in the liturgy. Additionally students are enriched with instruction in art, music, PE, computers, library, and Spanish on a weekly basis.
Annunciation is a part of the Catholic Elementary School Sports conference and fields teams of 6th – 8th graders in basketball, soccer, fast–pitch softball, and cheerleading.
