American Heritage Girls

American Heritage Girls (AHG) is the premier national character development organization with a Christ centered leadership ministry that serves girls ages 5-18.  AHG allows girls to experience new challenges, serve others, make new friends and have tons of fun, all in a safe faith-filled environment.  Whether your daughter wants to go camping, climb rock walls, or learn new skills like sewing, AHG’s program is ready to inspire her to new heights.

Boy Scout of America Troop 309

Sacred Heart Catholic Church Boy Scouts of America Troop 309 meets on Tuesday evenings at Sacred Heart and is for boys ages 11-17.

Council of Catholic Women

The National Council of Catholic Women (NCCW) acts through its affiliated organizations to support, empower, and educate all Catholic women in spirituality, leadership, and service.  CCW programs respond with Gospel values to the needs of the Church and society in the modern world. In our affiliation, we offer many opportunities: to develop spirituality, to learn more about current issues, to share with women of like values, to care for those in need through community outreach, to advocate on vital legislation, and to encourage women to attend dynamic workshops and conventions.

Food Is Love

Food is Love seeks to “fill the gap” and help parishioners who might be struggling in the short term and who can benefit from meal support, as well as prayers, compassion, and companionship.  These short term needs may be brought on by unexpected expenses, health changes, medical expenses or other unexpected emergency situations that upset a normally balanced budget.  Food is Love provides a safe place for parishioners to notify the parish of their own need or that of a fellow parishioner; have that need vetted and in turn receive the needed support.  This ministry is a no dues/no meeting ministry that utilizes technology to set up meal trains, as well as prayer support via email and texts.  A member of the ministry will be asked to receive and consider all email requests but have the flexibility to choose which opportunities are right for them.

Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus is an international organization of Catholic men with 1.7 million members in the United States and eight countries. Membership in the Knights is open to all practicing Catholic men who are at least 18 years of age and seek an opportunity to meet, socialize, and work with fellow Catholics for the betterment of our parish and community.

Parish Outreach Ministry

Outreach Office
(904) 284-4767

Parish volunteers address the important ministry of help to the needy in the Green Cove and Fleming Island area, with a limited amount of emergency assistance once in a twelve-month period.  We also help with referrals to other agencies & resources in the community.  Volunteers are needed to staff the office and to help with fundraising events.

This ministry recognizes that all life is sacred and must be protected from the moment of conception until natural death.  Respect Life covers abortion, contraception, cloning, embryonic stem cell research, euthanasia, and assisted suicide.  To build a more vibrant and robust Respect Life community at Sacred Heart, we are asking volunteers to help share their time.
